Dave's Fun Blog About The Greatest Things
Whales are between the most intelligent marine mammals on earth. The blue whale is the largest animal to ever before exist. Regardless of this history, industrial whaling has left the whale varieties very endangered. Fortunately, whaling has actually been ended in countless countries, but still exists in some. The influence of this continued whaling endangers the existence of the varieties, and if not stopped, might wipe out whales.
One country in specific that has actually been engaging in this inhumane and immoral project against nature is Japan. Large whale fishing vessels have actually been dispatched around the seas of Japan, mainly in the western Pacific Ocean, to hunt down innocent whales and harvest their meat and other parts to be utilized for oil, fertilizer, perfume, shampoo, soap, gelatin, margarine and additional items. Regardless of the uses it can bring, these living creatures should not have to pay their lives merely for this senseless reason.
One business has really objected to this wrongful activity and has actually aimed to conserve the whales from near extinction. The Marine Shepherd is an intercontinental non-profit organization that was established last 1977. As stated in their mission statement, the organization aims to stop the devastation of the marine environment and the slaughter of fauna around the world’s oceans in order to safeguard and safeguard the species and ecosystems.
Whale hunting has been worldwide banned because 1986. The International Whaling Commission enacted this ban but left a number of loopholes open. Whales can easily be fished for medical investigation, as well as by a few aboriginal collections. Japan hunts whales to use their meat and claims that they are performing scientific research. The non-profit business Sea Shepherd helps monitor Japan and protect against excess hunting.
The unlawful whale hunts have not stopped. More needs to be done to eradicate whaling before the varieties is absolutely lessened. Sea Shepherd is dedicated to this fight. Visit Sea Shepherd to learn more.
So I traveled back to the 1980′s and acquired a pair of healthy humpback whales.? Now, how do I get back to the 23rd century?
Just figure out what the universal meaning of ’42′ is or start to seek wisdom from Cracker Jack boxes or bags.
OH SHIT NIGGER YOU BETTER RUN, THEY DONT LIKE US 23RD CENTURY FOLK ‘ROUND HERE. AND DID YOU GET ME MY KFC?
How are humpback whales adapted to the antarctic environment? please give three examples.
1. Blubber 2. Specialised circulatory system 3. Baleen- they feed on krill
Is it true that fans with bumps on the leading edge (like a humpback whales’ fin) work better? some large fans (squirrel-cage style) DO have airfoil shapes.
A wavy trailing edge, like the whale flukes, works to reduce the noise signature of the blade moving through air. The trailing edge forms a “hole” of sorts, which when it collapses, makes noise. The faster the blade moves, the larger the void space and the louder the noise made by the collapsing hole left behind. The wavy trailing edge reduces turbulence which reduces noise. I have NO idea about a LEADING edge. I do not ever recall seeing a fan with a wavy leading edge, but I have several muffin fans with wavy trailing edges. Come to think of it, and I’m speculating here, on the leading edge, bumps may work something like the bulbous bow works on a ship, by “breaking” the water before the actual bow to reduce flow resistance. Maybe the bumps “break” the air in the same manner to reduce flow resistance as the blade moves through air.
It makes it more stable! But not more efficient!!
AIRPLANE WINGS have been proven to work better. The bumps “disturb” the leading edge. and seem to make the airflow over the top of the airfoil more efficient, thus producing a bit more lift. FAN BLADES do not have an airfoil shape, and bumps on the leading edge have no effect on their performance.
how many white humpback whales are left? im just wondering how many whales are left in the world?? i know theres not many and im do a report on Migaloo, so i just want to know exactly how many white humpbacks are left? please help me! thanks..
http://www.migaloowhale.org/ Facts about Migaloo Other white humpback whales:…Migaloo is the only known occurrence of an all-white humpback whale in the 20th century…. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7519263.stm…A white calf was spotted with a normal humpback mother in Byron Bay two years ago. Experts say the new whale could be the offspring of Migaloo but further tests need to be carried out… Migaloo is an albino humpback whale and not a subspecies of humpback whales. There is not a separate population of white humpback whales, just rare occurrences within the humpback whale specie. http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/13006 Humpback Whale…he available population estimates total more than 60,000 animals…
3 I have 1 in my backyard.
Oprah impersonation-humpback whales? so ive been hearing about this oprah impersonation thing where someone makes fun of oprah and says “your getting humpback whales and harrison ford is here”…im so confused haha. who said this and where. and is there a video of it?

Why do humpback whales have large fins compared to other whales and compared to their body size?
Humpbacks’ uniquely long flippers achieve a high degree of maneuverability. They are able to move in all directions by rotating or angling their flippers in coordination with their tails. They use this ability in their social hunting. The talk to each other in surrounding the krill working the prey into a tight ball. Then they lunge into the prey ball gulping as much as possible. This is why they are called lunge feeders.
